Inauguration of Curchorem Fire Station Building

         New Modern Fire Station Building of Curchorem Fire Station was inaugurated by Shri Manohar Parrikar, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa on 16th August 2014 in presence of Adv. Narendra Sawaikar, Member of Parliament, Shri. Nilesh Cabral, Member of Legislative Assembly Curchorem Constituency and Chairman Goa Tourism Development Corporation LTD, Dr. Pramod Sawant, Member of Legislative Assembly Sanquelim Constituency & Vice Chairman Goa State Industrial Development Corporation  and Smt. Carmelina Fernandes, Chairperson Curchorem- Cacora Municipal Council.

       Also present on the occasion were Shri. Subash Phaldessai Member of Legislative Assembly Sanguem Constituency, Shri. Ganesh Gaonkar, Member of Legislative Assembly Sanvordem Constituency, Shri. Sanjit Rodrigues, Managing Director Goa State Industrial Development Corporation, Shri. Venancio Furtado, Collector of South Goa and Shri. Ashok Menon, Director of Fire & Emergency Services.

        The Building is a Two floor structure having space for 3 Fire Fighting Appliances (one Emergency Rescue Tender, one Water Tender of capacity 4500 lts., one Water Bouser of capacity 12,000 lts.) and one Basic Life Support Ambulance. The Ground floor of the building accommodates Control room, administration office, duty office room, store room, Museum Block, Gymnasium and Canteen Block. The First Floor accommodates Library Room, Training Class Room and the Audio Video Room. The Second floor is having a fully furnished Conference Room, Dormitories for accommodation of 50 Fire Personnel and space for accommodating Reserve Force. The total cost of the Project is estimated to Rs. 1267.77 Lakhs (which includes  Civil Work, Interior Work, purchase of Fire tender & other equipments).The precinct also has Drill Tower, Drill Yard, Hose Drying Tower, Hose Washing Ramp and Underground Water Tank of 50,000 ltrs.
